MDS operates a primary NOC in a dedicated facility next door to its head office in Chesterfield and a secondary NOC in its Birmingham office to provide resilience should a disaster affect the primary NOC.

The very nature of the services that MDS provides from its Network Operations Centre (NOC) means that it often has access directly into customer’s server, storage and backup platforms.
Service Catalogue - As part of the Service Package Design process, MDS's service architects will work with you to create a Service Catalogue. The catalogue will contain Service Classes and Service Level Agreements appropriate to your business.
Incident Management - MDS will provide 24x7 monitoring and a Service Desk to respond to alerts and incidents raised by your IT team around the clock.
Problem Management - MDS Service Desk consultants will proactively work with your IT team to manage the escalation of incidents to problems inline with ITIL best practice.
Change Management - During the Service Package Design process, MDS with look to integrate with your existing processes around Change Management, appoint a CAB and agree how differing categories of change will be handled.
Configuration Management - A key part of the Service Package Design is the development of (or integration with) a Configuration Management Database to allow us to baseline the configuration and update accordingly inline with Change / Release Management.
Release Management - MDS will work with your team to create a policy and process to manage the release of upgrades and new releases of hardware / software into the environment.
Capacity Management - To ensure you get maximum value from the service, MDS will host regular capacity planning reviews to provide recommendations on capacities and understand your plans for the future.
ISO27001 Accreditation Guidelines - With information migrating to electronic storage and processing media, the means of securing compliance with relevant legislation, protecting confidentiality and maintaining customer confidence is a real challenge. MDS places particular importance upon the protection of its customers information and has responded to this challenge by creating a security model based on guidelines laid out within the ISO27001 (verbatim ISO/IEC 27001:2005) standard for information security.
