Network Connectivity
Managed Data Storage will locate the best and most appropriately equipped datacentre to allow sufficient distance to protect you from any disaster and yet near enough to provide the most cost-effective connectivity.
If you already own a WAN, buying connectivity from the datacentre to a Point of Presence (POP) from your current provider can build a very robust and flexible solution. This will provide an ideal basis for a resilient business continuity and disaster recovery strategy, and by using your existing connectivity supplier will also ensure costs are kept to a minimum. Similarly, the ProActive24 agents installed on servers at your site will use your own internet connectivity.
The solution monitors the service at both ends of the leased line, so the Managed Data Storage support teams can identify exactly where any faults lie. Should the customer-owned circuit be at fault, we notify you and provide a detailed fault analysis so that it is a simple matter of logging a call with your provider.
Alternatively, Managed Data Storage can provide the leased line connectivity and/or internet connectivity to the customer site and monitor and manage any faults as part of the service.
